Alternating upper/lower body workouts?

Mendy - should we vary our workouts from day to day to allow muscle groups time to rest? Or aim for a mix of cardio and over-all strength training every day?

I'm off to do some planks and push-ups now. Hopefully the boy won't think I'm a vaulting horse and attempt to add 36 pounds to my weight load... :)

You should absoulutely give your muscles a break!!! If we do chest and biceps one day then I give you another muscle group for day 2. If you want to do some push ups throughout the week that is fine, but not if you are still sore and you just did them the day prior.

A few nights ago we had a push up contest at our house...it was fun. Daddy did push ups with each boy taking turns on his back. I could only do it with my littlest child...oh well. Needless to say Daddy won, but my 3 boys thought that was so cool.

Mendy that is so awesome! I cannot wait until Tyler is about 2 or 3. It will be so exciting to have family nights and do all such of fun things together. :)

Thanks - I did lower body bike time last night with that thought in mind (particularly since I'm getting acclimated to real workouts. No more girlie workouts for me! :)

The pushup contest is an interesting idea - I'll have to challenge Chris tonight to see if he's up to it. Too cute!
